Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Embedded Software Developer to join our talented team. As an Embedded Software Developer at BTR Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing software solutions for our diverse range of projects. You will work closely with our team of electronics and software developers and be able to highly influence the products during the development process. 

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software applications for various projects and products
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications
  • Writing efficient, optimized, and reliable code in languages such as C, C++, and Python.
  • Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure software functionality and performance
  • Integrating software with hardware components
  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s- or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Cybernetics, or similar.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development
  • Strong proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming languages
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Python, for rapid prototyping and testing
  • Familiarity with microcontroller architectures (ex. STM32) and low-level communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN)
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to details
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment

It’s an advantage if you know or are familiar with the following:

  • Electronics
  • Test Driven Development (TDD)
  • Rust programming language
  • .Net/C#
  • Real-time operating systems (RTOS)
